Gear Hobbing Machine (JS)

Gear hobbing machine is used for performing the operation of hobbing on the gears to create the desired teeth profiles. It gradually creates cut into the material, usually cylindrically shaped, to form teeth or splines with the help of a special cutting tool, known as the hob. The teeth profiles generated with the gear hobbing machine are quite accurate. It is usually preferred for manufacturing and producing spur and helical gears. The motor of the machine is mounted on the tailstock that powers the entire operation of the machine. Raw material is first mounted on the chuck rigidly and then the hob is fed to it in order to generate tooth profile.
